Data Management (DM) is the development, execution and supervision of plans, policies, programs and practices that control, protect, deliver and enhance the value of data and information assets.¬†Content management (CM), is a set of processes and technologies that supports the collection, managing, and publishing of information and data in any form or medium.
When stored and accessed via computers, this information is referred to as digital content. The content may take the form of electronic documents, multimedia files, or any other file type that follows a content lifecycle requiring management. The process is complex enough to control and automate significant aspects of the content lifecycle.
