Ms. Smita Poudrier
CPA, CEO & CFO
Ms. Poudrier is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Summit Technologies, Inc. She is an accomplished executive with more than 25 years of experience in accounting and finance. Ms. Poudrier provides financial leadership by drawing on her experience in both federal and commercial contracting. Skilled in establishing operational discipline and compliance, Ms. Poudrier’s achievements are recognized by DoD and Federal Civilian customers.
A Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Poudrier holds a Master’s degree in Taxation from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Maharishi International University. She joined Summit in 2001.
Mr. Paul Patel
President & Co-Founder
Mr. Patel is the president and co-founder of Summit Technologies, Inc., leading us since 1997. He’s gathered 25 plus years of hands-on experience in establishing, operating, and managing federal government projects, as well as commercial information technology solutions and service companies. Mr. Patel is responsible for transforming disparate systems into unified, streamlined platforms that reduce operational costs, increase profitability and provide scaling capacity. With broad experience in the DoD and Civilian Federal Government, Healthcare and Insurance sectors, Mr. Patel is an entrepreneur at heart who brings a comprehensive understanding of strategic decision making, risk management and business development.
Mr. Patel received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut.
Mr. Christopher Calma
CISSP, CCSFP, CIO & Co-Founder
Mr. Calma is the Chief Information Officer and a founding principal of Summit Technologies, Inc. alongside Mr. Patel since 1997. He brings over 25 years of diverse technical, management and leadership experience including delivering and securing complex business systems across geographically dispersed teams in both the public and private sectors. He has also served as a Security SME to strategic customers since Summit’s founding. As a Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) since 2001 and Certified CSF Practitioner (CCSFP), he promotes and integrates data security into operations and all customer engagements. Mr. Calma previously held positions as an ISSO to a military security program and a CTO of a security risk management software company, as well as served on the global public cloud architecture and governance teams.
Mr. Calma received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
Mr. Scott Thomas
Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Thomas is a business development expert with over 30 years of management and sales experience and proven accomplishments in new business and project management. As a Sr. management team member, he’s provided business development activities and support to employees deployed to multiple federal contracts throughout the United States. Mr. Thomas’ federal focus includes providing The DoD and Civilian clients with Information Technology professional services for mission-critical services. He also collaborates on federal bids for follow-on opportunities, providing capture strategy, pricing guidance and customer insight.
Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Thomas joined Summit in 2009.
